I know there are a lot of crafty ladies out there that do papercrafts like scrapbooking and card making. I got the July issue of my scrapbooking magazine (Creating Keepsakes) and ran across this site. They are making home-made cards to send to the soldiers in Iraq. The cards actually acren’t for the soldiers though – they are for the soldiers to use to send back to friends and family members in the states. They use them for holidays, anniversaries, loved ones birthdays, etc. Here is the link to the site with the information http://123-scrap.com/forum/index.php?s=324b65a916f00e34ab8449b577045716&showforum=44. Click on the “General Information” entry under the “Topic Title” part at the top and you can get the basics. The other posts are interesting to read too.I’m definitely going to make some to send. I know a lot of people feel strongly about what’s going on in Iraq and I thought this was a good way for people to do something that doesn’t cost a lot of money and is definitely a good thing.
