Remember the Classics…

Standard

**bumping back to the top**

Its August – Victoria Holt’s On The Night of The Seventh Moon is up this week!

Fickle Fiona has suggested we start a Remember the Classics section and we’ve taken her excellent advice (thank you, darling!!) Each month or so, we’re going to pick a “classic romance” novel, read and discuss it here. Here are the first few in the order in which we’ll go:

#1 (June)
Kathleen Woodiwiss
The Flame and the Flower

#2 (July)
Julie Garwood
The Bride

#3 (August)
Victoria Holt
On the Night of the Seventh Moon

#4 (September)
Nora Roberts
Playing the Odds (the first in the MacGregor series)

#5 (October)
Jude Deveraux
A Knight in Shining Armor

#6 (November)
Johanna Lindsey
Love Only Once (the first in the Mallory series)

We’ll probably take December off and then start back up the beginning of next year. Loretta Chase was recommended as well – any other suggestions? Comments? Questions?

  1. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

FYI…Woodiwiss, Garwood and the Roberts are available in 24 hours from Amazon! Nora just repackaged the MacGregor books so it will be easy to get. Didn’t check on Deveraux and Lindsey because I have them but I’m pretty sure they are in abundance at UBSs.

    Still looking for the Holt…

  2. Okay, I went ahead and picked up the Holt from the Amazon used books section. I’ve only done that one other time and didn’t get the book. Don’t know. I should have them all next week! Whoopie!

Thanks ladies for doing this! You are AWESOME!

PS-I picked up Velvet Song today and started reading on the way home…too funny. I think these books are going to be hysterical after the stuff we are used to!

  3. Hopefully you’ll actually receive the Holt novel this time. I think it’s a keep but it’s been years since the last time I read it.

    Can’t wait to get started!
