Romantic Movie Recommendations

Standard

Hey all, hows Monday going?

I signed up for Rogers Video online ordering – or whatever you call it when they send you DVD’s in the mail – and I need to make a list.

Well damn, I really thought there were more movies out there that I haven’t seen yet. But I need 20 and I only have 10 chosen so far.

So rec me up please!

  1. If I may be so bold as to make some recommendations, two of my favorite romantic movies are “Before Sunrise” and “Manhattan”

  2. Hopefully you haven’t seen this, but I think The Notebook is the most romantic movie ever. Walk the Line is romantic in the soul mate sense of the word and is very interesting. Dirty Dancing. 40 Days and 40 Nights is pretty good. You’ve probably seen all these!

  3. I know! I know! Last of the Mohicans. It’s an action movie too, but also very romantic! Ames can tell you! And to quote Zeek “I’ve watched The Last of The Mochicans so many times I’ve worn it out. I think their kiss is probably one of the all time hottest kisses in movies!”

  4. oooo MOVIES!

Hmm depends on what KIND of romantic movie you prefer … historical? Kristie has posted my all time fav and I would also rank Sense and Sensibility and Pride Prejudice (Ah hell ANY jane Austen really!) high up there.

Recently people like The Lake House?

I love the Bridget Jones ones for “chick lit” type.

Titanic? When Harry Met Sally, While You Were Sleeping, Sleepless in Seatle, You’ve Got Mail, Sabrina, Ever After … all good but you’ve probably seen all those.

Hmmm what else? Never Been Kissed? 50 First Dates? Love Actually? The Truth About Cats and Dogs? Green Card (still a fav!), ohhh French Kiss! (BF and QI both love that one!)

  5. I know I am late BUT I have a couple that I have on my keeper shelf
    Sliding doors (Gwyneth Paltrow)
    Possession (Gwyneth Paltrow)
    Return to me(Minnie Driver)
    Must love dogs (Diane Lane)
    Good luck!

  6. Might be obsure but Quigley, Down Under with Tom Selleck in the lead. Historical western set in Australia but marvelous.

It’s a teen movie but 10 Things I Hate About You.

    Cindy

  7. I watched The Lake House while on vacation this week and it was sweet but I’m not sure you’ll like it Val as they aren’t together very much in the movie and we know how you HATE to keep the h/h seperate for too long.

I adore the movie Love Actually and I also love Serendipity but they’re not together during a lot of the movie either.

  8. Well since the other ladies here have suggested all the movies I would have suggested, I’ll just say HI Valeen and with you happy movie watching! haha.

IF I think of anymore to add to your list, I’ll come back..Oh wait! How about the X Men movies? The LOTR Trilogy, hmmm, Harry Potter? You know those kinds of movies? Or what about Two Weeks Notice, Grease, Grease 2, Tristan & Isolde, hmm…my mind went blank again, so I shall return! 😉
