Transformers – the movie

Standard

Tonight my 38 year old hubby, myself and my 18 year old daughter all sat down and watched a movie.  Sometimes it’s hard to find a movie that all three of us will like but this was a really good one.  It got a little long but there was lot of action.  Josh Duhmel was in it as the main soldier.

I didn’t even know he was in this movie.  I would like him better if he wasn’t engaged to Fergie (from the Black Eyed Peas) as I think she common.

I’ve also started to really like Shia Lebeouf (the guy that plays Sam).

When my daughter was younger she adored the Disney Channel and he was on this show called “Even Stevens”.  He was the annoying little brother and was just a goofball.  He’s really tuned in to quite an actor and I’m happy for him.  He doesn’t seem like he takes himself too seriously either.  Actually, he kind of reminds me of my oldest nephew, Alex.  He’s kid of a goofball too.

Hubby thought Transformers was a cartoon since there was a cartoon of it in the 80’s.  He was a little too old to play with any of the toys so he really didn’t know what to expect.  The soundtrack is probably pretty good too  – some of the songs made me laugh out loud (you have to see the movie to get it).  One thing that I picked up on is all the product placement – a little over the top.

So, if you haven’t seen it – I’d suggest you check it out.

  1. I’ve been a fan of Josh’s since he was on All My Children. He just seems like a really likeable guy.

We love and own the movie. There is commercialism, but in big budget films there always seems to be now-a-days. Tranformers was a cartoon back in the day and the movie really went with the cartoon according to my hubbie and his brother.

We’re REALLY looking forward to the newest Indiana Jones movie that has Shia Lebeouf in it as well. He’s definitely getting more roles. I’m so glad Harrison Ford is returning in it too.
